Heat represents how much attention you've attracted from law enforcement. Higher heat means:

  • Higher chance of police dispatch

  • More aggressive police response

  • Checkpoints more likely to search you

Heat naturally decreases over time:

  • Wait for heat to decay between runs

  • Never exceed 40 heat

  • Avoid checkpoints
